Description
This black and white paisley quartet hex tile is elegant, restrained, and deeply satisfying — four beautifully drawn paisley forms arranged in a pinwheel pattern, each one curling inward toward the center with a long sweeping tail, a tight spiral heart, and a scalloped inner border ringed with precise dot work. Bold solid petal motifs anchor the top, bottom, and sides, and scattered dots fill the negative space with just enough detail to keep the eye moving without crowding the composition.
This is original artwork by Bridget Koonce, and the paisley is perhaps the most personally meaningful motif in her practice — it’s a staple of henna body art, one of the first forms an apprentice learns and one that master artists spend years refining. These four are drawn with the confidence and precision of someone who has placed this exact shape on skin thousands of times, and it shows. The result is a tile with the quality of fine ceramic or hand-blocked textile.
It’s a wonderful choice for a bathroom, a bedroom, or an entryway. Pair it with the HE001 Henna Mandala for a complementary black-and-white pairing, or browse all of Bridget’s Originals and our Henna collection.
This tile is UV printed on 1/8″ Baltic birch wood for a warm, natural finish that makes the colors pop. The back is engraved with the HexWallTiles website. It comes as a standalone tile — you can use sticky tack to apply it directly to your wall, or pair it with one of our hexagon frames for a more finished look. Frames, necklaces, and all other hexagon accessories are sold separately.
Wondering where to hang it? HexWallTiles work beautifully in a home office, bedroom, or living room. Hang a single tile as a standalone statement piece, cluster several together for a gallery wall effect, or wind them down a hallway for something truly unexpected. The hex shape means every arrangement looks intentional — there are no wrong choices.
Made in small batches from natural materials here in Springfield, Missouri. Please allow for slight variation between tiles — that’s part of what makes each one unique and handmade.
Sizes available: 1.5″, 3″, 6″, and 12″ width.
