Description
This black and white bold floral medallion hex tile is the most dramatically confident piece in Bridget’s collection — and it earns every bit of that confidence. A bold black ground fills the entire hexagon, and from it emerges a white floral medallion of extraordinary graphic power: a wide outer ring of scalloped petals trimmed with fine line detail, a middle ring of rounded arch forms with dot accents, and at the center a large open blossom with six rounded petals and a sunburst of radiating lines around a clean white center. White on black, simple and absolute.
This is original artwork by Bridget Koonce, and the inverted palette gives the piece an intensity that’s rare in decorative art. It feels simultaneously bold and delicate, like lacework carved out of darkness. The outer scalloped border adds texture at the edges and keeps the eye moving around the composition.
The result is a tile that works like a piece of high-contrast graphic design as much as it does like hand-drawn art. It’s a natural anchor for any gallery arrangement and a stunning standalone statement on any wall. Pair it with OR027 for a dramatic black-ground duo, or browse all of Bridget’s Originals and our Henna collection.
This tile is UV printed on 1/8″ Baltic birch wood for a warm, natural finish that makes the colors pop. The back is engraved with the HexWallTiles website. It comes as a standalone tile — you can use sticky tack to apply it directly to your wall, or pair it with one of our hexagon frames for a more finished look. Frames, necklaces, and all other hexagon accessories are sold separately.
Wondering where to hang it? HexWallTiles work beautifully in a home office, bedroom, or living room. Hang a single tile as a standalone statement piece, cluster several together for a gallery wall effect, or wind them down a hallway for something truly unexpected. The hex shape means every arrangement looks intentional — there are no wrong choices.
Made in small batches from natural materials here in Springfield, Missouri. Please allow for slight variation between tiles — that’s part of what makes each one unique and handmade.
