Description

This black and white henna galaxy hex tile takes the intricate line-work language of henna and points it straight at the cosmos — and the combination is unexpectedly perfect. Saturn floats in the upper right, its rings rendered in careful parallel curves. Earth sits in the lower right, continents sketched in ink. A third banded planet drifts near the top. Between them, four-pointed stars, swirling spiral galaxies, and scattered dot clusters fill the open space the way real stars fill a clear night sky: seemingly random, deeply satisfying.

Henna has always been about filling space with meaning and beauty — and space, it turns out, gives you a lot of space to fill. Bridget Koonce translated the same meditative line-work approach she brings to florals and mandalas into this celestial scene, and the result feels like a star map drawn by hand on a quiet evening. Every element is recognizable but stylized, grounded but otherworldly.

This tile is UV printed on 1/8″ Baltic birch wood for a warm, natural finish that makes the colors pop. The back is engraved with the HexWallTiles website. It comes as a standalone tile — you can use sticky tack to apply it directly to your wall, or pair it with one of our hexagon frames for a more finished look. Frames, necklaces, and all other hexagon accessories are sold separately.
