Black and White Mandala Fragment

Description

This black and white mandala fragment hex tile is art caught in the act — and the effect is quietly thrilling. A cluster of small, spiky star-flower mandalas arcs across the upper left like a constellation mid-formation. Below them, a dense field of hand-drawn spirals fills the space in rolling, cloud-like waves. And in the lower right, a bold geometric mandala enters the frame only partially, as if the tile is a window onto something much larger happening just beyond view.

This is original artwork by Bridget Koonce, and the intentionally partial, off-center composition is a deliberate artistic choice. Most mandala art is about wholeness and completion. This one embraces the fragment, the glimpse, the moment before the full picture reveals itself. It’s more honest about how art actually gets made: in pieces, in process, in the space between what’s finished and what’s still becoming.

This tile is UV printed on 1/8″ Baltic birch wood for a warm, natural finish that makes the colors pop. The back is engraved with the HexWallTiles website. It comes as a standalone tile — you can use sticky tack to apply it directly to your wall, or pair it with one of our hexagon frames for a more finished look.
