Description
This black and white abstract line map hex tile occupies that fascinating territory where art starts to look like something else entirely — and you’re not quite sure what. Flowing, interlocking organic forms fill the hexagon edge to edge: shapes that suggest aerial maps, biological cell structures, cracked earth, or tangled root systems depending on where your eye lands. There are no repeated motifs, no obvious symmetry, just continuous hand-drawn line work that moves through the space with restless, exploratory energy.
This is original artwork by Bridget Koonce, and it represents a very different mode from her mandala and floral work — freer, more instinctive, closer to pure drawing than pattern-making. In black and white, the effect is graphic and architectural — it would look equally at home in a modern gallery, a creative studio, or a design-forward home office. It’s a conversation starter, the kind of piece that makes guests stop and say “what is that?”
Pair it with OR007 for a bold black-and-white pairing, or browse all of Bridget’s Originals and our Henna collection for more.
This tile is UV printed on 1/8″ Baltic birch wood for a warm, natural finish that makes the colors pop. The back is engraved with the HexWallTiles website. It comes as a standalone tile — you can use sticky tack to apply it directly to your wall, or pair it with one of our hexagon frames for a more finished look. Frames, necklaces, and all other hexagon accessories are sold separately.
Wondering where to hang it? HexWallTiles work beautifully in a home office, bedroom, or living room. Hang a single tile as a standalone statement piece, cluster several together for a gallery wall effect, or wind them down a hallway for something truly unexpected. The hex shape means every arrangement looks intentional — there are no wrong choices.
Made in small batches from natural materials here in Springfield, Missouri. Please allow for slight variation between tiles — that’s part of what makes each one unique and handmade.
Sizes available: 1.5″, 3″, 6″, and 12″ width.
