Description
This black and white henna textile hex tile is one of those pieces that makes you look twice — because it doesn’t quite look like wall art at first. It looks like fabric. The upper half of the hexagon is organized into crisp horizontal bands packed with hand-drawn spiral flowers. Below a scalloped dividing line, the lower half opens into a cascade of dangling fringe — teardrop shapes, leaf sprigs, and elongated pendants hanging from circular motifs like the hem of an elaborate ceremonial garment.
This is original artwork by Bridget Koonce, and the textile reference is completely intentional. Henna has always lived alongside embroidery, weaving, and fabric decoration in the cultural traditions that gave birth to it — the same motifs, the same love of pattern filling space, just on different surfaces. This tile makes that connection explicit and celebrates it. The design has a ceremonial quality — regal, detailed, and deeply decorative.
Pair it with OR010 for a textile-inspired gallery wall, or browse all of Bridget’s Originals and our Henna collection.
This tile is UV printed on 1/8″ Baltic birch wood for a warm, natural finish that makes the colors pop. The back is engraved with the HexWallTiles website. It comes as a standalone tile — you can use sticky tack to apply it directly to your wall, or pair it with one of our hexagon frames for a more finished look. Frames, necklaces, and all other hexagon accessories are sold separately.
Wondering where to hang it? HexWallTiles work beautifully in a home office, bedroom, or living room. Hang a single tile as a standalone statement piece, cluster several together for a gallery wall effect, or wind them down a hallway for something truly unexpected. The hex shape means every arrangement looks intentional — there are no wrong choices.
Made in small batches from natural materials here in Springfield, Missouri. Please allow for slight variation between tiles — that’s part of what makes each one unique and handmade.
Sizes available: 1.5″, 3″, 6″, and 12″ width.
