The map is based on the Equal Earth Wall Map created by cartographer Tom Patterson and made freely available at equal-earth.com. The Equal Earth projection was developed specifically to correct the size distortions of older map projections that have shaped how generations of people picture the world — often inaccurately. HexWallTiles is proud to bring this more honest view of our planet to your walls.
