Description

This vintage camera hex tile features a Hasselblad wide angle camera from the 1950s, photographed in close, clean detail against a plain background.

Hasselblad cameras have a design language that’s held up remarkably well, all clean metal housing and mechanical precision with none of the plastic bulk that came later in camera history. This particular model dates to a period when Hasselblad was becoming the camera of choice for serious photographers, eventually including the ones documenting the moon landing a decade later. The close photography here lets every dial, lens ring, and leather-textured panel actually read clearly.

I included this piece because it’s a genuine design object, the kind of thing that photographers and collectors specifically seek out for its look as much as its function. It works as art the same way a well-made tool always does.

This tile is a natural fit for a home office, a photography studio, or a gallery wall built around vintage tech and design objects. It’s a strong gift for any photographer or film shooter. Pair it with one of my hexagon frames.

Available from 1.5 inches up to 18 inches.
