Bee

Description

This bee stained glass hex tile is a love letter to the most industrious creature in the garden — and it earns every bit of that affection. A large, gloriously detailed bumblebee lands on a cluster of white flowers at the center of the tile, its amber and black banded body rendered with fine bristled texture, its translucent wings catching the light like actual glass. Below it, white blossoms with golden pollen centers bloom in lush detail. And here’s the design masterstroke: the background stained glass is patterned in the hexagonal geometry of a honeycomb — the bee’s own architecture, rendered in glowing yellow, green, and teal glass — making the tile itself a visual pun that rewards a second look.

The bee has had a remarkable cultural moment in recent years, beloved by gardeners, naturalists, and anyone who cares about the natural world. It’s also one of the most versatile motifs in decorative art — at home in a farmhouse kitchen, a botanically-inspired living room, a sunroom, or a child’s room for the future entomologist in the family. It’s also an absolutely wonderful gift for the beekeeper, the pollinator gardener, or anyone who appreciates when art and concept click perfectly together.

Pair it with the Butterfly and Flowers stained glass tile for a nature-inspired display, or browse our full Stained Glass collection.

This tile is UV printed on 1/8″ Baltic birch wood for a warm, natural finish that makes the colors pop. The back is engraved with the HexWallTiles website. It comes as a standalone tile — you can use sticky tack to apply it directly to your wall, or pair it with one of our hexagon frames for a more finished look. Frames, necklaces, and all other hexagon accessories are sold separately.

Wondering where to hang it? HexWallTiles work beautifully in a home office, bedroom, or living room. Hang a single tile as a standalone statement piece, cluster several together for a gallery wall effect, or wind them down a hallway for something truly unexpected. The hex shape means every arrangement looks intentional — there are no wrong choices.

Made in small batches from natural materials here in Springfield, Missouri. Please allow for slight variation between tiles — that’s part of what makes each one unique and handmade.
