Description

This blue and gold mandala hex tile is the one people stop and stare at. Royal blue and warm amber gold come together in a mandala of exceptional refinement — a dense lace-like inner circle filled with hundreds of tiny hand-drawn marks, surrounded by a ring of eight lotus petals alternating in blue and gold, all enclosed in a wide outer border of continuous blue spirals that gives the whole composition a sense of elegant, unhurried movement.

This is original artwork by Bridget Koonce, and the combination of colors here is genuinely sophisticated. Blue and gold together carry centuries of artistic and cultural weight — from medieval illuminated manuscripts to Delftware pottery to the tiles of Moroccan riads — and this mandala earns its place in that tradition. At a distance it reads as a bold, beautiful medallion. Up close it reveals layer after layer of careful mark-making.

This tile is UV printed on 1/8″ Baltic birch wood for a warm, natural finish that makes the colors pop. The back is engraved with the HexWallTiles website. It comes as a standalone tile — you can use sticky tack to apply it directly to your wall, or pair it with one of our hexagon frames for a more finished look. Frames, necklaces, and all other hexagon accessories are sold separately.
